Our school is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive campus, and we actively encourage our Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) students to learn and use the Chinese language. On Sunday, October 19, Joey, a student from Class 6A, represented our school at the grand final of the "6th Hong Kong-wide Cantonese Challenge for Ethnic Minorities," hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
On the intense and high-stakes stage of the final, Joey demonstrated great confidence in the face of challenges, along with an impressive command of Cantonese. Her performance was exceptional—featuring precise pronunciation and clear articulation—while her vivid and sincere delivery deeply moved both the judges and the audience. Standing out among a field of talented competitors, Joey secured the position of first runner-up!
Joey has always approached her Chinese language studies with great dedication. Through her persistent effort and willingness to embrace new challenges, she has achieved outstanding results in this territory-wide competition, bringing honor to our school! All of us at the school are incredibly proud of Joey’s remarkable performance and extend our warmest congratulations to her!
We hope that all our students will look to Joey as an inspiration—daring to challenge themselves, shining brightly on their own learning journeys, and becoming true "GEMs" (individuals who are Growing, Empowered, and Motivated).
