To help students gain a deeper understanding of the charm of Chinese culture, the school's Chinese Language Department held a "Exploring Chinese Culture" themed event on March 30th. Multiple Chinese language booth games were set up on campus, allowing students to experience a fun and educational journey through Chinese culture during recess.
The booths offered a variety of activities, including "Dialogue with AI Journey to the West Characters," "Chinese Spelling Fun," "Welcoming Spring and Receiving Blessings through Calligraphy," and "Gomoku Experience."
At the "Dialogue with AI Journey to the West Characters" booth, students could interact and converse with Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing. The questions posed by the students were incredibly creative, deepening their understanding of the characters' personalities and the story's content through interaction, while also improving their language expression and critical thinking skills.
The "Chinese Spelling Fun" booth tested students' mastery of Chinese characters, words, and components, requiring them to spell the correct words within a time limit, combining learning with fun and reinforcing language knowledge.
At the "Welcoming Spring and Receiving Blessings Calligraphy" booth, teachers and students wrote auspicious greetings together, experiencing the charm of calligraphy art and appreciating the traditional beauty of Chinese culture.
In addition, the "Gomoku Experience" booth attracted many students, who competed in a game of Go, experiencing the exquisite beauty of this Chinese national treasure while also training their logical thinking and concentration.
The entire event was lively, with students actively participating, learning, exchanging ideas, and exploring in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, deeply appreciating the profoundness of Chinese culture and putting into practice the spirit of "learning language and loving culture."
