Typhoon "Hawakasa" is approaching the coast of Guangdong. The Hong Kong Observatory predicts a significant deterioration in weather later today, with winds expected to intensify to gale and storm levels the day after tomorrow. Offshore areas may even reach hurricane-force winds, accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain, and storm surges.
The Education Bureau has urged all schools in Hong Kong to remain on high alert. Our school has fully activated its typhoon prevention plan and completed the following preparations today:
A comprehensive inspection of doors, windows, and drainage systems on campus
Reinforcement of wind-prone structures and clearing of drains
Assessment of risks to trees on campus and installation of protective devices
Testing the emergency communication system to maintain communication
