Humanities Learning Week: Stepping Out of the Classroom to Explore Hong Kong

Our school will hold a "Humanities Learning Week" from February 23rd to 25th, 2025. In line with the primary school humanities curriculum's emphasis on "learning from life" and "understanding Hong Kong, the nation, and the world," a three-day workshop has been arranged for students from Grades 1 to 6.

The activities are designed in three phases: On the first day, students from each grade will leave the classroom for field trips to different locations; in the afternoon, they will organize their findings and conduct workshops. On the second day, students will engage in in-depth discussions in small groups, dividing tasks to collect information and design learning reports. On the third day, based on the speech lessons learned in the previous semester, students will focus on public speaking training and stage etiquette rehearsals, preparing for their presentations in the afternoon, comprehensively enhancing their expression and teamwork skills.

Tiered Visits: From Community to Nation

The visits during this Humanities Learning Week were carefully designed according to students' grade levels and learning priorities, allowing students to start from their local communities and gradually connect to national history and defense security:

Grade 3 students visited the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to learn about local history and multiculturalism, and to appreciate and inherit Chinese culture.
