Perfect Mid-Autumn Festival Chinese Clothing Day
Chinese Language & Literature × Visual Arts × Chinese Culture × Healthy Lifestyle × National Calendar
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and in response to the "Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival" in the National Calendar, our school held a "Perfect Mid-Autumn Costume Day." Students returned to school dressed in gorgeous traditional Chinese attire and participated in a series of colorful activities, including a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, class photos, lantern making, and learning about Chinese culture and traditions, allowing students to experience the charm of Chinese culture in a joyful atmosphere.
The Chinese Language & Literature department specially designed an interactive game, "Guess the Idiom with Emojis," allowing students to learn idioms related to the Mid-Autumn Festival, harvest, and reunion through fun image association, such as "a perfect union of flowers and a full moon" and "abundant harvest," combining learning with entertainment. Coinciding with the Farmers' Harvest Festival, teachers and students shared seasonal fruits, experiencing the joy of harvest and learning the importance of a balanced diet, combining Chinese culture with healthy living concepts. This activity spanned multiple learning areas, including Chinese language and literature, visual arts, Chinese culture, healthy lifestyles, and national events calendar. It not only enhanced class cohesion but also helped students learn about important national holidays, cultivate an attitude of gratitude and cherishing resources, and pay attention to physical and mental health, thus embodying the spirit of national education.
