Chinese Language & Literature × Visual Arts × Chinese Culture × Architecture (STEAM)

Fourth-year students visited "Lingnan Style" at Lai Chi Kok Park for a field trip, exploring the characteristics of traditional Lingnan architecture. Through understanding the design layout and architectural aesthetics of pavilions and towers, students appreciated the beauty of Chinese art, learned about the cultural connection between the guqin (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument) and ancient architecture, and experienced the refined lifestyle of ancient literati. This activity combined elements of Chinese language and literature, visual arts, Chinese culture, and STEAM, allowing students to learn from multiple perspectives—architectural structure, garden design, and cultural connotations—embodying the spirit of interdisciplinary learning.
